Exchange the Experience is an art exhibit gathering views on work and pleasure while evoking the leisure and labor of vision. Works by Michael Arcega, Tana Quincy Arcega, Ali Dadgar, Kota Ezawa (courtesy Haines Gallery), Cora Lautze, Frances Lerner, Collin McEachran, and Felicita Norris also often inhabit different places on the shaking terrain between abstraction and figuration. The artists often sew in their practice (practice being a watchword for art as labor, concerted valued labor). They as often layer their work formally and/or critically. To see is to sew. Deconstructive, pragmatic, and transfigurative, to sew is to make two things one.
